Book Review by Student

Every Book Club a 'Roving Reviewer' is selected to spend $20 by the school and they get to keep the books. Our first reviewer is Elizabeth from 4 Owen. Elizabeth spent her $20 on two books.

Book Title: The Lion King (A Movie Novel)

Summary: Lion club Simba is introduced to the pride land that he will someday rule. When his father Mufasa is killed, Scar his uncle says it was all his fault and tells him to run away. A while later he wakes from a deep sleep only to find a meerkat and a wid pig called Pumba and Timon. Years latter he is found by Nala, his best friend, who tells him to go back. After being shown his father in the stars he goes back to reclaim his kingdom. After a fierce battle with Scar he wins.

My thoughts: The Lion King is amazing and thrilling, a classic story told in a more realistic way. It is a detailed story that gives you a perfect vision of what is going on like you are there seeing what is happening as though it was real life and a very gripping tale indeed...as soon as I read the first page I was glued.

Book Title: Deadly Creatures

Summary: The book was not a story but a facts book. This book holds five different sorts of creatures. Not five creatures but five groups of deadly creatures including; Deadly Mammals, Deadly Sea Creatures, Deadly Reptiles and Amphibians, Deadly Spiders and Insects and lastly Deadly Winged Creatures.

My thoughts: It is fantastic, it showed you the top fifty deadly creatures. Examples from the above five groups are: African elephant, stone fish, komodo dragon, ogre faced spider and tsetse fly.
