So what does it mean to be a leader at Longford Primary School?
It means:
- You show up as a learner, every day
- You expect the best of yourselves and others
- You set goals, you plan against these goals and you work hard to achieve them
- You commit to building on your strengths and working on your areas of weakness
- That every day you aim to lift and improve your performance
- That you are persistent in the face of adversity
- That you are courageous in the face of challenge
In formally accepting their position as leader of our school, I have asked each individual to commit to holding themselves accountable to their work ethic and work outputs. To their behaviours and how these are modelled to their younger peers. To their uniform and how they present themselves within our school and community. To be a learner and approach learning and other school opportunities with courage, passion, joy and optimism. I have challenged this group to STRIVE FOR SUCCESS – To Stretch – To Grow. To Think about where they are right now, and where they aim to be at the end of the year and asked how do they plan to make these goals achievable.
Our School leaders will host two student only assemblies on Thursday the 25th of February and will support the staff in welcoming you all to our BBQ on Thursday the 25th of February. All school leaders are asked to attend the BBQ where possible and will be formally announced to our wider school community at 4:30pm (uniform not required).
