Dear Families
A Positive Start to Term 4
Students and staff have returned to school with great energy and enthusiasm. Learning is well underway, and it has been wonderful to see students reconnecting with friends and engaging in meaningful experiences. Students in upper primary have been participating in Swimming and Water Safety. Our Prep to Year 2 students recently visited Brickendon Farm and the Museum as part of their HASS studies. These excursions supported their learning about local history and helped build an understanding of where some of the food they eat comes from. In addition, our early years students will participate in the Infant Fun Day on Thursday at Evandale Primary School—a regional event focused on wellbeing through active play and connection with peers from other schools.
Longford Show Success
Last Saturday, the Longford Show brought our community together at the Longford Showgrounds, and I was filled with pride as I viewed the incredible work our students had on display. Their entries were a true reflection of their creativity, effort, and talent.
Congratulations to all students who received awards or placings—and a big well done to every student who participated. Your contributions made our school shine!
Planning for 2026
School leadership has begun planning for classes in 2026. If you have any information about child’s class placement that may support this process, please contact the office to arrange a time to meet with Candice. If you are moving to a different school or know of any families who are planning to enrol at Longford PS next year please contact the school office.
Upcoming Events
Term 4 is packed with exciting events, including end-of-year excursions, our Presentation Assembly, Swimming Carnival, and Carols. Please continue to check our newsletter, Seesaw, and Facebook for updates. We look forward to celebrating these special moments with you.
