Dear Longford Primary School Community
Welcome BBQ
Thank you to those families who attended our welcome BBQ. It was lovely to see so many families touring classrooms and enjoying the BBQ together. We really value your support and attendance at our school events and look forward to seeing you at our future whole school events.
Athletics Carnival
Last week we held our annual athletics carnival. Students’ participation rate, athletic skills, behaviour and sportsmanship were outstanding. Our House Captains also did an excellent job supporting their fellow students. Thank you to all families who attended, we loved having you there as part of the event. Thank you to Mr Ellis for his coordination of a successful carnival.
NAPLAN
As mentioned in our prior newsletter, this week students in Years 3 & 5 have begun NAPLAN testing. So far students have shown resilience and a positive attitude towards their assessments. Assessment information will be sent home to families later in the year.
Staffing Update
Mr Ellis is currently on leave from his position at Longford Primary School. During this term students will still continue to access Physical Education as usual. We will update you around staffing for PE in Term 2.
Congratulations to students for receiving a
